it's helpful to have leftovers on those weeknights when you just don' t feel like preparing and cooking a full meal. after work this evening, probably because i had a somewhat lighter lunch and didn't snack in the afternoon, i started feeling crazy hunger pangs and light-headed as soon as i walked out of the office. i had to warn kevin in advance, in case i got hangry ...
when we got to the apartment, to kevin's astonishment, i demolished the leftover kimchi and started on a bag of lightly salted tortilla chips, and then felt intensely tired. basically i had the patience and the temperament of a 2 year old and migrated to the living room couch to channel surf.
luckily, while all this was going on, my responsible level-headed husband got started on dinner. with our homemade chicken stock, leftover braised beef from saturday night's liu-party, fresh twin marquis noodles, and some basic household sauces, kevin prepared a nice bowl of noodles for us, with a side of asian veggies and fried eggs <-- i managed to peel myself off the couch and fry those eggs :D
